I am so glad to find your website. You are great with re-purposing old wood furniture! I just started doing that with some old furniture that we have and I am a really bad painter! It turned out OK but not too great. (here is my sloppy paint job - http://insideourlittlepigpen.blogspot.com/2011/09/diy-white-tables-chairs.html)
Anyways, thanks again! I am now so ready to hit some more yard sales and thrift stores too (it's unbelievable the treasures you can find for such a great price huh?) :)
I just bought a stencil and there were so many I wanted so I am asking you to "PICK ME" for the give-a-way...I also liked them on facebook to share with my friends. I bought the reverse of your barstools. But I love your barstools.
Hello, I have been reading all of your blogs. I am just starting to paint and distress furniture. I am getting a little overwhelmed with all of thedifferent sites, tutorials and info out there. I see you seal all od your furniture with poly rub on. If I am distressing and then age with minwax ebony or dark walnut, can I then seal on top of that with the poly rub on? Also can you use the poly on all sheens of paint, semi gloss, gloss, satin, eggshell, and flat?
